Filled with images by accomplished portrait, fashion, and wedding photographers, this is a resource for photographers seeking inspiration for their own work when capturing group images. Designed for ease of use, the sample portraits in this guidebook are grouped according to the number of subjects included—working from small groups of three up to larger groups including 10 or more people—and within each section, the portraits are further subdivided into how much the frame shows of the subjects, from close head-and-shoulders portraits to three-quarter-length images and full-length shots. The hundreds of samples provide inspiration and are easily replicated, allowing photographers to customize the source material to meet any type of need.Direct download links available for Free Download 500 Poses for Photographing Group Portraits: A Visual Sourcebook for Digital Portrait Photographers [Kindle Edition]

I purchased another book in this series for couples and this book is equally as amazing. Don't be discouraged by the soft focus in some images, or even the actual quality of the image itself. This book is about poses and it could have been done with sketches showing various types of poses. Instead, it was done with images from some of the top photographers around. I recognized many of their names even too!
As I said in another review, photography is visual of course and not too many photographers are going to see the same image the same way. Thank God for that actually. I highly doubt I will replicate any of the images in this book exact, but it does offer a great foundation to learn from. I personally love that it's page after page after page of images and not too many words. At the end of the book, two pages are included with some tips that are pretty basic, but a refresher is never a bad thing is it?
The first few pages show groups of two, and I counted 31 people in one image shown in this book and it isn't even the biggest group pose shown. That's quite a variety. I'm OK posing one or two people when the two aren't a couple (siblings for instance, but when three or more are involved I find posing to be a bit of a challenge for me. By combining image ideas from several shots shown in this book, I'll be able to create visually stunning images that will make my photography demanded that much more.
It is important to note that there is likely some image quality loss from the original capture to a printed copy. While the portraits themselves were probably very high-res, the pages of this book aren't and so some quality loss is to be expected.
