About the Author
Kevin Anker, co-author of LOGIC PRO 8 POWER! and LOGIC PRO 9 POWER!, is a longtime professional musician with 20 years of experience in computer-based music production. He has performed, composed, sequenced, engineered, and recorded for a variety of individuals and groups both nationally and internationally. Kevin has been a Logic user since 2002 and is currently an administrator and moderator of www.macosxaudio.com, a large and active online community focused on music production on Mac OS X. Orren Merton, author of Guitar Rig 2 Power!, Logic Pro 7 Power!, GarageBand Ignite! and co-author of Logic 7 Ignite has been a computer musician since his days in U.C. Berkeley in 1988, and has been writing in the professional audio field for over five years. He has done technical writing for Emagic Soft- und Hardware GmbH, and writes for numerous American and British pro audio magazines. He has a master's degree in English from California State University, Long Beach. In between writing and consulting in the pro audio and computer music fields, he also helps moderate the Logic User Group, an online community of over 23,000 Logic users. Free Download Logic Pro 9 Power!: The Comprehensive Guide
UPDATE, 4/13/13: I'm about half way through the book. The book continues to be comprehensive. I've read about flex time, the arrange area, audio regions, MIDI regions and the transport bar, to name a few. At this point, I can see how this book will continue to be a great reference material. There are also tips stated here and there, which may provide with helpful tools. If you have gone through Logic and have wondered, "What does THAT do??", I think there is a good chance that this book will cover it. Still really enjoying the book. I just wish I was a faster reader!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have several other Logic books since I need all the help I can get with the program, including Apple Pro Training Series: Logic Pro 9 and Logic Express 9, Apple Pro Training Series: Logic Pro 9 Advanced Music Production, The Power in Logic Pro: Songwriting, Composing, Remixing, and Making Beats - Quick Pro Guides and Logic Pro For Recording Engineers and Producers - Quick Pro Guides. I've read the first three books so far.
I was a little hesitant in buying this book because there were not many reviews on it, but I'm glad I took a chance.
