This software has seven version changes since it's debut, so it is hard to find any learning material that is current. This was as current as you can get with updates on the web, easily found and downloaded. There are also web videos on the web that follow the book very well. The author is gifted in his presentations and his British accent is a bonus. I am about halfway through the book and had no problems understanding it. I am an experienced editor in the previous versions of FCP and several other systems, so I had a much easier time understanding this new system, but I think it would be simple enough for anyone from any background. FCP-X is fast, and so is this book, it moves you right along. This is the best software book for FCP-X out there and you will not go wrong using it. I am very happy with my learning process, I am about ready to edit in a new and very logical process.

in book form i think it's easier to consult than would be in a digital format
